Welcome to Cushing School, home of the Cushing Cats! 

My name is Jesse Craddock, and I am the proud Principal of our vibrant and inclusive school community here in Scituate. Whether you’re returning or new to Cushing, we’re excited to have you with us.

Cushing serves approximately 360 students in Grades K-5. Our mission is to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. At the heart of our culture are our Core Values, captured in the acronym C-A-T-S:

These values guide our learning, interactions, and school-wide celebrations. We are deeply committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive educational environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to support every child’s academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development. I am also committed to working closely with our staff to make decisions that are in the best interest of our students. 

We value building strong and positive relationships with our students, staff, and families. We also believe strong family partnerships are essential to student success, and we encourage ongoing communication and involvement throughout the year.
